Calvin’s Magical Entertainment was on hand to captivate and amaze 147 children and their parents in attendance. The sales reported for the month of September exceeded last years residential sales by 13%. Year to date the residential market is up 6% year over year with some markets reporting higher increases. Grimsby & Stoney Creek areas are seeing year over year increases of 28% & 33% respectively. The average sale price for a single family residential property (YTD) is now sitting at $252,562, a marginal increase of 5.8% over last years price of $236,631. The summer momentum in residential sales activity continued on for the month of August. Over 50% of the reported units sold were in the $200,000 to $400,000 price range & 12.7% of the sales were for homes priced above $400,000. Average sale prices year to date are up 6% for the Niagara region with Stoney Creek & Grimsby showing increases of 10% & 11.4% . Overall, a great real estate market. The goal is to raise $350,000 for the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. The company says an overwhelming response from those who applied for this bucket list opportunity earlier this year resulted in an expanded trip to accommodate 70 Royal LePagers, up from an originally planned group of just 28.
