Residential Statistics – October 2018
Check out this October’s Residential Market Statistics, and 12 Month Trend by Market. Regional sales are down, but average sale prices are up. With 3.7 months of supply in Niagara + Dunnville, and 3.0 months of supply in Hamilton, Stoney Creek and Ancaster, we are heading into a Buyer’s market.
St Catharines average sale price rose 6.3% and unit sales fell 12.3%.
Niagara on the Lake saw a 32.8% drop in unit sales and a 5.2% decrease in average sale price.
Niagara Falls’ average sale price increased 3.8% and unit sales fell 15%.
Fort Erie had a 0.2% decrease in unit sales, and a 8.2 % increase in average sale price.
Thorold had a 30.1% decrease in unit sales over last year and a 0.8% decrease in average sale price.
Pelham’s average sale price increased 6%, and unit sales decreased 29.9%.
Welland also saw a decrease in unit sales at -10.2%, and an average sale price increase of 12.4%.
Port Colborne’s average sale price increased 10.7% over last year, and unit sales fell 3.2%.
Lincoln saw a decrease in unit sales at -9.8% and an increase of 3.6 % in average sale price.
West Lincoln has an 6.2% decrease in average sale price, and unit sales dropped 5.2%.
Grimsby had an 11.4% increase in unit sales and a 4.7% drop in average sale price.
Dunnville’s unit sales dropped 14.7%, and average sale price dropped 0.9%.
Hamilton’s average sale price rose 3.2%, but unit sales dropped 18.5%.
Ancaster unit sales decreased 19.2%, and average sale price decreased 4.4% over last year.
Stoney Creek’s unit sales dropped 10.3% and average sale price decreased 2.8%.
