5th Annual National Garage Sale for Shelter raises more than $364,000!
During May, Royal LePage offices across the country hosted the 5th Annual National Garage Sale for Shelter. Thanks to the incredible dedication and hard work of all the organizers and volunteers, and the support of sponsors and community members, this year’s event raised more than $364,000! Since 2009, we have raised over $1.6 million at the National Garage Sale for Shelter. We believe this to be the largest, one-day charity garage sale in Canada! Royal Lepage Niagara participated in the National Garage Sale for Shelter by holding a garage sale at the Maywood office. In addition, Royal Lepage Niagara hosted a "NIGHT OF MAGIC" featuring Greg Fruwen in supportof the Shelter Foundation. Thanks to all particitants!
One hundred percent of the proceeds from the National Garage Sale for Shelter will benefit women’s shelters in communities across the country, providing women and children with safety and the chance for a new beginning. Funds will support counseling, legal and housing assistance, employment training, and programs to help children deal with the effects of witnessing violence in the home.
