December 2017 Regional Residential Statistics

Check out this December’s Residential Market Statistics, 12 Month Trend by Market, and our year-end 10 Year Trend by Market. Regional unit sales are down, but average sale prices are up across the board. With 2 months of supply in Niagara + Dunnville, and 1.5 months of supply in Hamilton, Stoney Creek and Ancaster, we are still in a Seller’s Market.

 

St Catharines average sale price rose 21.8% and unit sales fell 9.9%.

Niagara on the Lake saw a 19.0% drop in unit sales, but a 29.7% increase in average sale price.

Niagara Falls’ average sale price increased 15.9% and unit sales fell 21.4%.

Fort Erie had a 20.4% decrease in unit sales, and a 27.2% increase in average sale price.

Thorold had a 6.4% decrease in unit sales over last year, and a 24.8% increase in average sale price.

Pelham’s average sale price increased 18.7%, and unit sales decreased 13.5 %.

Welland also saw a decrease in unit sales at -6.1%, and an average sale price increase of 25.8%.

Port Colborne’s average sale price soared to 29.0% over last year, and unit sales fell 18.4%.

Lincoln saw an increase in both unit sales and average sale price, and 1.1% and 18.1% respectively.

West Lincoln has a 26.2% increase in average sale price, and 8.4% decrease in unit sales.

Grimsby’s unit sales dropped 16.4%, but average sale price rose 25.7%.

Dunnville had a slight decrease in unit sales at -2.2%, but average sale price rose 27.2%.

Hamilton’s average sale price rose 15.2%, but unit sales dropped 6.6%.

Ancaster unit sales increased 6.0%, and average sale price increased 16.3% over last year.

Stoney Creek’s unit sales dropped 5.7% but average sale price rose 17.8%.
